Jawaharlal Nehru University of Architecture and Fine Arts, Hyderabad

The College of Fine Arts was established in 1940. However, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) was established in 1972 and the college then merged with it and became the constituent college of JNT University. The official website states that, "the college attained its independent status as a college of fine arts devoted exclusively to the development of applied art, painting, sculpture, photography and animation". It is further shared that, "Jawaharlal Nehru University of Technology is divided and divided into four different universities, such as JNTU Anantapur, JNTU Kakinada, JNTU Kukatpally, Hyderabad and JNA and FA Universities, Masab Tank , Hyderabad is established under the Andhra Pradesh Legislature Act. AJ Kidwai Mass Communication Research Center

Anwar Jamal Kidwai, former VC and then president of Jamia Millia Islamia, founded AJ Kidwai Mass Communication Research Center (MCRC) in 1982.

"AJ Kidwai founded MCRC in collaboration with York University, Toronto and the Canadian International Development Aid Agency. CIDA provided MCRC a range of sophisticated production equipment, while the University of York sent the first generation of teachers ”, informs the official website.

MCRC offers candidates a PG Diploma in Still Photography and Visual Communication program.

Osmania University

Founded in 1918 by Nawab Osman Ali Khan, Osmania University is named after its founder. The official website states that Osmania University is "the seventh oldest in India, the third oldest in South India and the first to be established in the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad".

National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad

Established in 1961, the National Institute of Design, Admabad offers its photography course under the Faculty of Communication Design. The National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad offers an MD in Photography Design course at its PG campus. The course provides admission to fill 15 seats. Candidates can apply for this program if they have a degree or diploma in design (under a term of 10 + 2 + 4 years) in any discipline. Sir JJ Institute of Applied Arts

The Sir JJ Institute of Applied Art was given the status of "independent institution" in the year 1961, commencing operations in 1935 at the Sir JJ School of Art campus.

The Indian Institute of Digital Art and Animation (IIDAA), a unit of the IIDAA Educational Trust, was established in 2008.
