Goa is a small state in India that is geographically located between Maharashtra (North-East side) and Karnataka (South-East side). The Arabian Sea is west of Goa. The capital of Goa is Panaji. Portuguese culture has a lot of influence in Goa. The state was formed during 30 May 1987. The state has 43,000 acres of cultivable land in an area of ​​about 3,700 square kilometers. Goa has a total population of about 13,47,700, with a density of 370 per square kilometer. Konkani is the official language of Goa. English and Marathi are also used for official purpose. Kannada and Hindi are other Indian languages ​​that are spoken in Goa. One can find Hindu and Christianity in Goa. The nearest air port is at Vasco de Gama which is located 30Kms from the city Panjim.

Goa is famous for its beaches. Arambol beach is the highest beach in the north, located in Pernem taluka (northern part). Mapusa sees Anjuna, Calangute, Candolim, Aguada, Sinkim and Baga beaches. Kalangut and Baga are side by side. They also fall in the northern part of Goa. The capital Panaji has Miramar, Majorda and Dona Paula beaches. In the southern part, Vasco has Bogmalo, Benaulim and Yoni beaches (Mormugao). Bogmalo also has water sports.
